SIB-1893 је лек који се користи у научним истраживањима. Он је био један од првих једињења развијених као селективни антагонисти за метаботропни глутаматни рецептор подтип mGluR5.[1] Он има антиконвулсивно и неуропротективно дејство,[2] и редукује отпуштање глутамата.[3] Он такође делује као позитивни алостерни модулатор mGluR4 receptora.[4]
