Pentalenolakton D sintaza (EC 1.14.13.170, penE (gen), pntE (gen)) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom 1-dezoksi-11-oksopentalenat,NADH:kiseonik oksidoreduktaza (formira pentalenolakton-D).[1] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- 1-dezoksi-11-oksopentalenat + NADPH + H+ + O2 pentalenolaktan D + NADP+ + H2O
Ovaj enzim je FAD-zavisna oksigenaza. On je izolovan iz bakterija Streptomyces exfoliatus i Streptomyces arenae.
