Fotosistem II (EC 1.10.3.9, fotosistem 2) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom H2O:plastohinon reduktaza (od svetla zavisna).[1][2] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- 2H2O + 2 plastohinon + 4 hnu
O2 + 2 plastohinol
O2 + 2 plastohinolOvaj enzim sadrži hlorofil a, beta-karoten, feofitin, plastohinon, Mn4Ca klaster, hem i gvožđe koje nije vezano za hem.
