Español: El escudo de la provincia de Ilo fue creada por Emiliano Rojas Cáceres que presentó al Concejo Provincial de Ilo el diseño del escudo a colores, el 26 de mayo de 1976 la alcaldía le otorgó un diploma de honor en su reconocimiento por la creación e inspiración artística del escudo.
Las características que le dio el autor del escudo de Ilo son: «Un banderín recordatorio, con alegoría de un Escudo con motivos de la provincia de Ilo, como son el marco, el molde de cobre, en la parte superior un sol naciente, en el interior una franja roja con un pelícano; en la parte inferior del escudo, el mar, un buque, y el muelle; en el fondo una vista de los hornos de La Fundición de la compañía Southern Perú, y como adorno rodeado del escudo, dos ramas de olivo con sus respectivos frutos, en la parte baja para llenar el vacío una ancla, un casco marino y una red de pesca.
