SIB-1757 је лек који се користи у научним истраживањима. Он је био један од првих једињења развијених као селективни антагонисти за метаботропни глутаматни рецептор подтип mGluR5.[1] Он има антихиперглезионо дејство код животиња.[2] SIB-1757 заједно са другим mGluR5 антагонистима има неуропротективне и хепатопротективне ефекте,[3][4] и он се такође користи у студирању улоге mGluR5 receptora tokom moždanog razvoja.[5]
