中文（臺灣）：以花蓮舉世無雙、亙古恆存的中央山脈（清水斷崖）與浩瀚無邊、海天一色的太平洋為基礎設計起源，於中央山脈中間開鑿出一道蜿蜒的公路造型，象徵花蓮縣民均係克服地理險障移居此世外桃源，同時獨特的地理景觀也值得所有人一再到此重遊。「蓮花」象徵純淨與和諧與縣名結合採擷作為元素之一，而於太平洋（臺灣東部）升起的「朝陽」之元素，則象徵縣民生生不息的活力。運用多種的造型及繽紛色彩來表現獨特的地理景觀並營造出花蓮縣洋溢之豐富、活力與現代感。
