The single-dome mosque is located 4 kilometers west of the Bagerhat town just opposite from the Shaitgumbad mosque. This mosque is part of the Khilafatabad town that was set up by Khan Jahan Ali and his followers in the 15th century. The brick-built mosque is square in shape. There are four circular columns on each corner. Inside the mosque, there is just one mihrab on the western all. There are several niches on the walls where oil-lamps used to be placed. The mosque is decorated with terracotta.
