Public domain According to the Romanian Law on Copyright and Neighboring Rights Law no. 8/1996 of March 14, 1996 with further amendments Chapter 3 Article 9 the following documents shall not benefit from the legal protection accorded to copyright:

  • The photographs of letters, deeds, documents of any kind, technical drawings and other similar papers shall not benefit from the legal protection accorded to copyright.

Therefore this image is assumed to be in the public domain worldwide, although some of the above categories may be subject to usage restrictions within Romania.

Română: Descrierea stemei:

Stema comunei Şopotu Nou, potrivit anexei nr. 1.16, se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat.În câmpul superior, roşu, un vrej de iederă însoţit dreapta-stânga de două cununi de spice, totul de aur.În câmpul inferior, de azur, pe o terasă neagră, un cal de argint, liber, în galop, spre dreapta.Scutul este trimbrat de o coroană murală de argint, cu un turn crenelat.

Semnificaţiile elementelor însumate:

Cununile de spice semnifică bogăţia zonei.Iedera este simbolul perenităţii şi al belşugului, al renaşterii şi al veşnicei reîntoarceri, care se leagă de speranţele oamenilor locului.Calul de argint, liber, fără frâu sau şa, în galop, este simbolul unui nou început şi al încrederii.Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
