ОписBajer near village of Potoki (37734309236).jpg
North and south of the village of Potoki, there are two small dolomite ravines with flowing water. In the southern ravine there is the spring of Bajer, which is dammed as shown in the picture. The overflow goes into an abyss of limestone and dolomite about 100m lower. The water from the dam, together with water from a nearby secondary source, was used to supply locomotives with water in the last century. It has been proven that the water from Bajer flows into the river Krupa via underground. Bajer is listed as an ecosystem of significant hydrological, zoological and local value and is therefore protected by law.
Interesting fact: A direct translation of "Bajer" into English means "Pond".
