Metabolički put glikolizne konverzije glukoze u piruvat putem serije intermedijernih metabolita. Svaka hemijska modifikacija (crvena kutija) se izvodi posredstvom različitog enzima. Koraci 1 i 3 konzumiraju ATP (plavo), a koraci 7 i 10 proizvode ATP (žuto). Pošto se koraci 6-10 javljaju dva puta po molekulu glukoze, to dovodi do neto produkcije ATP.
