The Staple Singers bila je američka muzička grupa koje je izvodila muziku žanrova gospel, soul i R&B.

Pops Stejpls (28. decembar 1914 – 19. decembar 2000), patrijarh porodice, formirao je grupu sa svojom decom Kleotom (11. april 1934 – 21. februar 2013),[1] Pervis (18. novembar, 1935 – 6. maj 2021),[2][3] i Mavis (r. 10. jula 1939). Ivon (23. oktobar 1937 – 10. april 2018)[4][5] je zamenila svog brata koji je bio regrutovana u američku vojsku, i zamenila ga je ponovo 1970. godine. Najpoznatiji su po hitovima iz 1970-ih Respect Yourself", I'll Take You There, If You're Ready (Come Go with Me) i Let's Do It Again.

Nagrade

Grupa je uvrštena u Dvoranu slavnih rokenrola 1999.[6] i Dvoranu slavnih gospel muzike 2018.[7] Oni su takođe bili počašćeni markerom na Misisipi bluz stazi u Druu u Misisipiju.[8] Grupa je 2005. godine dobila Gremi nagradu za životno delo .[9]
