Džoun Evans (engl. Joan Evans; 22. jun 1893 — 14. jul 1977)[1] bila je britanska istoričarka engleske i francuske srednjovekovne umetnosti. Njena privatna kolekcija je donirana Muzeju Viktorije i Alberta u Londonu.[2]
Mladost i obrazovanje
[uredi | uredi izvor]Džoun Evans je rođena u Neš Milsu. Njen otac je bio kolekcionar i biznismen Džon Evans, a majka njegova treća žena, Marija Milington Letbri. Bila je polu sestra Artura Evansa koji je iskopavao Knosos i otkrio Minojsku civilizaciju.[2]
Džoun je privatno školovana dok nije otišla da studira arheologiju na Univerzitet u OksforduUniverzitetu u Oksfordu. Na Oksfordu je završila master studije 1916. godine i doktorirala 1930. godine.[2]
