Aleksander Poup (engl. Alexander Pope; London, 21/31. maj 1688Tvikenam, 30. maj 1744) bio je engleski književnik.[1]

Bio je jedan od najboljih satiričnih pesnika 18. veka. Aforistična vrednost njegovih do savršenstva doteranih stihova veoma je doprinela širenju prosvetiteljsko-klasicističkih učenja u engleskoj i svetskoj književnosti.
