Brilijant
Appearance
Brilijant je najpopularniji oblik brušenja dijamanata. Dobija se kada se dijamant izbrusi niz pljosnice (faseta) u obliku bipiramide. Oblik nalikuje na kupu i zamišljen je tako da maksimalno poveća količinu svetlosti koja se vraća kroz vrh dijamanta.[1][2]
Glavni centri za obradu su u Antverpenu (Belgija) i Izraelu.
Masa se meri karatima - jedan karat jednak je 0,2 grama. Kvalitet brilijanta se opisuje sa 4C (Cut=kako je isečen, Clarity=prozirnost, Colour=boja i Carat=masa)
