Ejmi Bet Šumer[1] (engl. Amy Beth Schumer; Njujork, 1. jun 1981) je američka stendap komičarka i glumica.

Godine 2018. glumila je u komediji Baš sam lepa i dobila je nagradu Toni za najbolju glumicu u predstavi za svoj debi na Brodveju u Meteorskoj kiši.

Ejmi je rođena 1. juna 1981. na Menhetnu, Njujork,[1][2] od Sandre Džejn i Gordona Dejvida Šumera, koji su posedovali kompaniju za nameštaj za bebe.[2][3][4]

Ejmin otac je rođen u jevrejskoj porodici iz Ukrajine.[5][6] On je drugi rođak američkog senatora i lidera senatske većine Čaka Šumera.[7][8][9] Njena majka, koja je protestantskog porekla i ima duboke korene iz Nove Engleske, prešla je u judaizam pre braka.[4][10][11] Šumer je odgajana kao Jevrejka i kaže da je morala da se suoči sa antisemitizmom kao dete.[12][13][14]

Ima mlađu sestru Kim Karamel, koja je pisac komedije i producent,[15][16] i polubrata Džejsona Stajna[17] koji je muzičar u Čikagu.[18][19]

Nakon što je 2003. godine diplomirala pozorište na Univerzitetu Tovson i preselila se u Njujork, Šumer je glumila mladu ženu sa dijagnozom raka dojke u crnoj komediji Keeping Abreast. Počela je da se bavi stendap komedijom 1. juna 2004, kada je prvi put nastupila u Gotam komedijskom klubu.[20] Godine 2007. snimila je epizodu uživo u Gotamu za Komedi Central.[21]

Šumer se udala za kuvara i farmera Krisa Fišera 13. februara 2018. godine u Malibuu, Kalifornija.[22][23] Ejmi je 5. maja 2019. godine rodila dečaka Genea.[24][25] Njen sin je rođen carskim rezom, pošto je bolovala od endometrioze.[26] U septembru 2021. Šumer je uklonila matericu da bi ublažila simptome povezane sa ovim stanjem.[27]
