U kandžama GPU (polj. Siedem lat w szponach GPU) je prva knjiga svedoka o sovjetskom gulagu (uključujući prvi zarobljenički logor Gulag Solovki).

Napisao ju je Francišak Aljahnovič, beloruski dramski pisac, nacionalista i građanin Druge Poljske Republike. Nakon puštanja iz Gulaga i povratka u Poljsku 1933. godine, Aljačnovič je odmah napisao knjigu u tri jezičke verzije, i to na beloruskoj, poljskoj i ruskoj.[1]

Godine 1934. poljska verzija je objavljena u dnevnom listu Słovo, objavljenom u Vilnjusu. 1934-1935 verzija na ruskom jeziku (u pravopisu pre 1917. godine ) je serializovana u beloemigrantskim novinama Vozroždenje u Parizu,[2][3] i u Naš put u Harbinu, Mandžukuo.[4][5]
