Sfingomijelin sintaza (EC 2.7.8.27, SM sintaza, SMS1, SMS2) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom keramid:fosfatidilholin holinfosfotransferaza.[1][2][3][4][5] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- keramid + fosfatidilholin sfingomijelin + 1,2-diacil-sn-glicerol
Ova reakcija može da teče u oba smera.
