Nagrada Merkjuri (engl. Mercury Prize) godišnja je muzička nagrada koja se dodeljuje pojedincu ili grupi iz Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva ili Irske za najbolji album objavljen na britanskom tržištu.

O nagradi

Nagradu Merkjuri su 1992. godine ustanovili Britansko udruženje proizvođača fonograma (engl. BPI; British Phonographic Industry) i Britansko udruženje prodavaca ploča (engl. BARD; British Association of Record Dealers). Nagrada je naziv dobila po svom prvobitnom naslovnom sponzoru — kompaniji Merkjuri komjunikejšons.

Uslovi i procedure nominovanja

• U konkurenciji za nagradu može se naći muzika svih savremenih žanrova.
• Nominovani album mora imati digitalno izdanje u jednogodišnjem periodu koji je preciziran konkursom. U istom periodu album mora biti:
  • u prodaji na bar dve platforme za elektronsku trgovinu koje posluju na britanskom tržištu i/ili
  • dostupan na bar dva servisa za preslušavanje muzike.
• Album se može nominovati samo preko izdavačke kuće koja poseduje ili kontroliše snimke na njemu.
• Prilikom nominovanja albuma uplaćuje se i novčana naknada u iznosu od 190 funti + PDV. Ovaj iznos je nepovratan ukoliko je nominacija prihvaćena.
• Samo nominacije albuma su važeće. Ne prihvataju se nominacije kompilacijskih i EP izdanja, kao ni mikstejpova sačinjenih od prethodno objavljivanog materijala.
• Pojedinac čije se izdanje nominuje (izvođač, producent ili kompozitor) mora biti rođen u Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu ili Irskoj i/ili posedovati državljanstvo jedne od ove dve države. Isti uslov mora da ispunjava bar polovina članova grupe čiji je album nominovan.
