Borba (vojska)
Borba u vojnoj terminologiji ima jedno od nekoliko značenja. U opštem slučaju to je oružani sukob protivničkih snaga na kopnu, moru ili vazduhu. U širem smislu borba ima isto značenje kao bitka ili boj. U užem smislu borbom se smatra samo borba nižih vojnih jedinica, grupa i pojedinaca (ili tenkova. brodova, aviona i slično). Borba se završava pobjedom ili porazom, ali je pobjeda po pravilu uvijek relativna.
Borba je obično između suprotstavljenih vojnih snaga u ratu. Borbeno nasilje može biti jednostrano, dok borba podrazumeva barem odbrambenu reakciju. Borba velikih razmera poznata je kao bitka. Verbalna svađa je obično poznata kao kontroverza. Borbena efikasnost na strateškom polju zahteva borbenu spremnost. U vojnim oblastima, ovaj termin se primenjuje i na osoblje koje mora da ima odgovarajuću obuku i da bude osposobljeno za izvođenje borbenih dejstava u jedinici kojoj su dodeljeni.[6]
U svakoj borbi sudjeluje nekoliko činilaca (faktora): ljudi (živa sila, čovjek), materijalna sredstva, prostor i vrijeme. U ratovima organizovanih vojnih formacija odlučujuću ulogu obično ima brojnost i kvalitet snaga, a u ustancima i gerilskim ratovima su često presudni vještina i moral. Opšta načela koja utiču na borbe su ekonomija snaga, inicijativa, nadmoćnost, i iznenađenje. S obzirom na cilj, značaj, snage i posljedice borba se javlja u raznim oblicima. Poznati su bitka, boj i operacija. Manje borbe koje ne spadaju u klasifikaciju se obično podvode pod borbu u užem smislu i izučava ih taktika.[7][8]

Borba prsa u prsa je borba na veoma bliskoj udaljenosti, napad na protivnika telom (udaranje, šutiranje, gušenje, itd.) i/ili oružjem za blisku borbu (noževi, mačevi, batine, itd), za razliku od dalekometnog oružja.
Vojna borba[uredi | uredi izvor]
Vojna borba je uvek bila između dve ili više suprotstavljenih vojnih snaga u ratu. Vojne borbene situacije mogu uključivati više grupa, uključujući gerilske grupe,[9][10][11][12] pobunjenike, domaće i/ili strane vlade. Vojni sukob je poznat kao bitka ili rat, u zavisnosti od veličine borbe i položaja na kojim geografskim područjima se rat/bitka odvija. Borbena efikasnost je uvek zahtevala da osoblje održava stratešku spremnost tako što će biti dovoljno obučeno, naoružano, opremljeno i finansirano za izvođenje borbenih dejstava u jedinici kojoj je dodeljeno.[13] Ratovanje potpada pod zakone ratovanja, koji regulišu njegove svrhe i vođenje, i štite prava boraca i neboraca.
