Biografija

Rođena je 7. septembra 1817, u Kaselu, u Nemačkoj. Bila je četvrto dete princa Vilijama od Hesen-Kasela i princeze Šarlote od Danske.

Udala se 24. aprila 1842, u Kopenhagenu, za danskog kralja Kristijana IX, s kojim je imala tri sina i tri ćerke.

Kraljica Lujza je umrla 29. septembra 1898, u Kopenhagenu.
