Sveti Kliment Aleksandrijski

Kliment Aleksandrijski (umro oko 217) bio je veliki hrišćanski učitelj iz Aleksandrije.

Biografija

Kliment Aleksandrijski je poreklom iz Atine. Naslednik je Pantenov u upravljanju katihetskom Aleksandrijskom školom. 190. godine bio je izabran za načelnika aleksandrijske Katihumenske škole. U vreme progona imperatora Septimija Severa, koji je počeo 201. godine, Kliment se preselio u Kapadokiju.

Iz potrebe da uvede Hrišćansku veru u intelektualne krugove svog vremena, on sastavlja prva sistematska teološka izlaganja koristeći se terminima paganske filozofije: Protreptik, Stromatu (Šarenica, Ćilim), Pedagoga. U tom sistemu Sveto pismo ima središnje mesto. Teologija crpe sav svoj sok, život i disanje iz Pisma (Stromata 7.1.1). Zato hrišćanstvo treba shvatiti kao istinski "gnosis". Za razliku od Tertulijana, koji stavlja u antitezu Jevanđelje i filozofiju, „majku svih jeresi“, Kliment ima pozitivan stav prema filozofskoj spekulaciji. Filozofija je za njega u izvesnom smislu priprema za Jevanđelje.

Sačuvani su sledeći radovi svetog Klimenta:

• „Opomena neznabošcima“,
• „Pedagog“,
• „Stromate“,
• „Koji će se bogataš spasti?"

U delu arhiepiskopa Filareta - „Istorijsko učenje o svetim Ocima“, čitamo: „Kliment je napisao Ipotipoze ili Primeri. Ali sa uverenošću treba da pretpostavimo da je ovo delo, koje je video Fotije, zapravo delo koje nije napisao Kliment, nego da je to nekakva prerada koja je pod jakim uticajem arijanaca ili nekih drugih jeretika... Na kraju, i sam Fotije je sumnjao da su Ipotipoze, koje je video, delo Klimenta Aleksandrijskog. Uostalom, od tog spisa, sa izuzetkom onoga što navodi Jevsevije, do nas nije došlo mnogo..."
