Krstaške države
Krstaške države su bile brojne feudalne države, koje su stvorili krstaši u Maloj Aziji i Svetoj zemlji (istorijskoj Palestini). Te krstaške države su ponovo okupirane od strane islamskih država.[1] Krstaške države na Levantu, kolektivno poznate kao Outremer,[2][a] bile su: Kraljevstvo Jerusalim, Kneževina Antiohija, Grofovija Tripoli i Grofovija Edesa (pored Kraljevine Kipar).[4] Ljudi iz krstaških država su generalno nazivani „Latinima”, što je zajednički demonim za sledbenike latinske crkve, za razliku od autohtonih sledbenika istočnog hrišćanstva.[5]
Godine 1098, zapadnoevropski krstaši su uzurpirali grad Edesu i zauzeli Antiohiju na njihovom oružanom hodočašću u Jerusalim, koje je sprovedeno nakon opsade iz 1099. godine. Usledila je teritorijalna konsolidacija, uključujući i zauzimanje Tripolija. U svom najvećem obimu ove države su pokrivale obalska područja današnje južne Turske, Siriju, Liban, Izrael i Palestinu. Ta su imanja kasnije istoričarima postala poznata pod nazivom Outremer iz francuske fraze outre-mer ili „zemlja preko mora”. Edesa je pala pod napadom turskog ratnog vojskovođe 1144. godine, dok su se druga carstva održala do 13. veka, pre nego što su pala pod egipatski Mamelučki sultanat. Antiohija je pokorena 1268, a Tripoli je pao 1289. godine. Kada je Ako, glavni grad Jerusalimskog kraljevstva pala 1291. godine, poslednje teritorije su brzo izgubljene, i preživeli su prebegli na Kipar.
Proučavanje krstaških država, samo po sebi, za razliku od podteksta krstaških ratova, započelo je u Francuskoj u 19. veku kao analogiju francuskom kolonijalnom iskustvu u Levantu. To su odbacili istoričari 20. veka, gde je koncenzusno stajalište bilo da su Franci, kako su zapadni Evropljani bili poznati, živeli kao manjinska zajednica koje je u velikoj meri bila urbana, izolovano od starosedilačkih naroda, sa odvojenim pravnim i religijskim sistemima. Autohtoni narodi su bili hrišćanske i islamske tradicije, i govorili su arapski, grčki i sirijski jezik.
Krstaške države su osnovane u udaljenim pograničnim krajevima između Vizantijskog i Seldžučkog carstva u periodu kada su regionalne politike bile fragmentisane, vladari neiskusni, i veliki Seldžučki sultanat je bio nezainteresovan i stanju opadanja. Konfuzija i podela značili su da je islamski svet zanemarivao svet izvan njega; ovo ga je učinilo ranjivim i iznenađenim prvim kontaktom s Francima, što je Francima pružilo mogućnost za konsolidaciju.

Prve četiri krstaške države formirane su odmah nakon Prvog krstaškog rata:
- Grofovija Edesa prva krstaška država stvorena 1098. i trajala je do 1150 — pad grofovije Edese
- Kneževina Antiohija (1098—1268) — pad Antiohije
- Grofovija Tripoli (1104—1288) — pad grofovije Tripoli
- Kraljevstvo Jerusalim , trajalo je do 1291, kada je pala Akra.
Kraljevstvo Jerusalim je imalo četiri vazalne teritorije:
Jermensko kraljevstvo Kilikija potiče pre krstaških ratova, ali papa Inoćentije III Kilikiji dodeljuje status kraljevstva. Kasnije je bila pod dinastijom Lizinjan.
Kipar[uredi | uredi izvor]
Tokom trećeg krstaškog rata formirana je Kraljevina Kipar. Ričard Lavlje Srce je osvojio Kipar dok je bio na putu prema Svetoj zemlji. Ostrvo je postalo kraljevina i predano je Giju Luzinjanu 1192. Trajalo je do 1489, kada ga zadnja kraljica prodaje Veneciji.[6]

Tokom četvrtog krstaškog rata Vizantija je osvojena i podeljena na krstaške države:
- Latinsko carstvo u Carigradu
- Solunska kraljevina
- Kneževina Ahaja
- Atinsko vojvodstvo
- Egejska vojvodina (Vojvodstvo Naksos)
dok su na preostalim teritorijama stvorene vizantijske države:
Venecija je formirala vojvodstvo Naksos ili vojvodstvo Arhipelag
Vitezovi hospitalci (Jovanovci)[uredi | uredi izvor]
- Vojni red vitezova hospitalaca ili Red Svetog Jovana uspostavili su krstašku državu na Rodosu od 1310, sve do 1522, kada su pred Turcima pobegli na Maltu.
- ostrvo Kasteloriko u Dodekanima zauzeli su vitezovi hospitalci 1309, ali Turci su zauzeli 1440, od 1450. je u posedu kraljevine Napulj, a od 1635. je pod Venecijom. Od 1686. je ponovo turski i konačno grčki od 1821. godine.
