Slobodna volja

Slobodna volja (lat. liberum arbitrium) filozofski i teološki je koncept prema kome svaka osoba ima slobodu da sama odlučuje o svojim postupcima. Drugim rečima, individua slobodno odlučuje i bira svoje postupke i način postupanja. Nasuprot ovom konceptu postavljaju se koncepti, između ostalih, determinizma, prema kojem je sloboda ograničena prirodnim faktorima, i fatalizma, prema kojem je sloboda ograničena natprirodnim faktorima (npr. Bog, sudbina).
Sintagma „slobodna volja” ima religijske, etičke i naučne implikacije:
- U religiji je slobodna volja čoveka određena odlukom Boga (svemogućeg i sveznajućeg) da ne koristi svoju moć kako bi uticao na odluke čoveka,[1]
- U etici je ovaj koncept temelj bez koga čovek ne bi mogao biti odgovoran za svoje postupke,[2]
- U nauci, ideja slobodne volje podrazumeva slobodu mišljenja, dakle, i uma, u odnosu na kauzalitet naučnih zakona.[3][4]
Delovanje čoveka prema slobodnoj volji ima svoje mesto i u pravu u kojem je ovaj koncept ugrađen u zakonodavstvu (individualna odgovornost, nezavisno donošenje sudskih odluka).[5]
Slobodna volja je u bliskoj vezi sa konceptima moralne odgovornosti, pohvale, krivice, greha i ostalim sudovima koji se mogu primeniti isključivo na postupke koji su rezultat slobodne volje. Postoji više različitih mišljenja koja razmatraju uticaje na slobodnu volju, odnosno, istinsku mogućnost donošenja slobodnih odluka.
Pomenuti determinizam sugeriše da je moguć samo jedan tok događaja, što nije konzistentno sa postojanjem slobodne volje. Na ovaj problem ukazali su filozofi antičke Grčke i on i danas ostaje u fokusu filozofskih rasprava.
Nasuprot tome, u kompatibilizmu se ističe stajalištem prema kojem je slobodna volja kompatibilna sa determinizmom. Postoje i mišljenja koja navode da je determinizam neophodan za slobodnu volju, tvrdeći da svaki izbor pretpostavlja preferiranje jednog postupka u odnosu na drugi, pri čemu su važne pretpostavke o posledicama postupka.[6]
Slobodna volja je stanje u kojem su misli i ponašanje neke osobe određeni sopstvenom voljom, a ne spoljašnjim činiocima.
Kad bi kamen koji pada imao svesti, on bi držao da je njegovo padanje rezultat njegove slobodne volje.
Termin slobodna volja je osporavan sa filozofskog, psihološkog i socijalnog stanovišta naročito u kontekstu autodestruktivnih ili drugih postupaka koji mogu nanositi bilo koju vrstu štete samom sebi, drugim osobama, grupama, institucijama ili socijalnoj zajednici. Psihološki, slobodna volja je razumljiva u kontekstu donošenja i izvršenja autonomnih opredeljenja delovanja i preuzimanja odgovornosti za posledice učinjenog.[8]
Samo neinteligentan duh vrši izbor u životu… Istinski inteligentan čovjek ne može imati izbora, jer njegov duh može biti svjestan jedino onoga što je istinito, pa prema tome može da se odluči jedino za put istine. Izbor mu je jednostavno nemoguć. Samo nerazuman duh ima slobodu volje.[9]
Prema tomističkoj tradiciji sloboda volje jeste čovekovo svojstvo kojim je on gospodar svojih dela, a potiče od toga što se čovek odlučuje o alternativama izbora na temelju svoje razumske spoznaje[10].
Zapadna filozofija[uredi | uredi izvor]
Temeljna pitanja su da li imamo kontrolu nad našim delovanjem, i ako je tako, kakvu vrstu kontrole i u kojoj meri se može vršiti. Ova pitanja prethode ranom grčkom stoicima (na primer Hrisipu), i neki moderni filozofi žale nedostatak napretka tokom svih ovih milenijuma.[11][12]
S druge strane, ljudi imaju snažan osećaj slobode, što ih vodi ka verovanju da imaju slobodnu volju.[13][14] Doduše treba imati u vidu da intuitivni osećaj slobodne volje može se bude pogrešan.[15][16]
Teško je uskladiti intuitivnu evidenciju da su svesne odluke uzročno efektivne sa gledištem da se fizički svet može smatrati savršeno podložnim fizičkim zakonima.[17] Konflikt između intuitivnog osećaja slobode i prirodnih zakona nastaje kad se bilo uzročno zatvaranje ili fizički determinizam (nomološki determinizam) ispolji. Pri uzročnom zatvaranju, ni jedan fizički događaj nema uzrok izvan fizičkog domena, i pri fizičkom determinizmu, budućnost je u potpunosti određena prethodnim događajima (uzrok i posledica).
Zagonetka pomirivanja slobodne volje sa determinističkim svemirom je poznata kao problem slobodne volje, ili se ponekad naziva dilemom determinizma.[18] Ova dilema isto tako dovodi do moralnih dilema: pitanja kako pripisati odgovornost za akcije ako su one u potpunosti uzrokovane ranijim događajima.[19][20]
Kompatibilisti tvrde da mentalna realnost sama po sebi nije uzročno efektivna.[21] [22] Klasični kompatibilisti su se suočili sa dilemom slobodne volje tvrdeći da je slobodna volja delotvorna dokle god osoba nije spoljašnje ograničena ili pod prisilom.[23] Moderni kompatibilisti prave razliku između slobode volje i slobode akcije, drugim rečima, oni razdvajaju slobodu izvora od slobode delovanja u skladu s njim.[24] S obzirom na to da svi ljudi doživljavaju osećaj slobodne volje, neki savremeni kompatibilisti smatraju da je neophodno prilagoditi se toj intuiciji.[25][26] Kompatibilisti često povezuju slobodu volje sa mogućnošću donošenja racionalnih odluka.
Drugačiji pristup dilemi je onaj koji zastupaju inkompatibilisti, naime, ako je svet determinističan onda, naš osećaj da smo slobodni da izaberemo akciju je jednostavno iluzija. Metafizički libertarijanizam je oblik nekompatibilnosti koji postavlja da je determinizam lažan i da je slobodna volja moguća (da bar neki ljudi imaju slobodnu volju).[27] Ovo gledište povezano je s nematerijalističkim konstrukcijama,[15] uključujući tradicionalni dualizam, kao i modele koji podržavaju minimalnije kriterije; kao što je sposobnost svesnog veta delovanja ili konkurentske želje.[28][29] Ipak, čak i pri fizičkom indeterminizmu, argumenti su bili napravljeni protiv libertarijanizma, jer je teško odrediti mesto porekla (odgovornost za „slobodne” indeterminističke izbore).
Slobodna volja se pretežno tretira u pogledu fizičkog determinizma u strogom smislu nomološkog determinizma, iako su drugi oblici determinizma takođe relevantni za slobodnu volju.[30] Na primer, logički i teološki determinizam izazivaju metafizički libertarijanizam sa idejama da sudbina, i biološki, kulturni i psihološki determinizam hrane razvoj kompatibilističkih modela. Odvojene klase kompatibilizma i nekompatibilizma se čak mogu formirati radi njihovog predstavljanja.[31]
